Tractor Tim
Tractor Tim was bought from new. Farmer Fred had decided he needed a tractor that could manage many of the harder jobs on the farm but still be a size that was useful around the yard.
On going to the showroom and looking at a number of tractors Fred believed that Tim had actually moved on his own towards him. After having a good look round the tractor and the salesman stating that this beautiful red tractor with his larger front wheels would easily do all the jobs that Fred had requested a deal was done.
Tractor Tim arrived on the farm the very next day and straight away a great friendship developed between them..
Naughty Nigel
Nigel is one of the longest serving tractors on the farm. Farmer Fred purchased him from another Farmer that was selling his machinery. Nigel was only slightly smaller than Tractor Tim but had smaller front wheels.
Mrs Fred had taken one look at the slightly dishevelled green tractor and immediately had a soft spot for him. Nigel was a very hard working little tractor and was fiercely loyal to Farmer Fred but loved to play tricks on everyone and always seemed to be getting into trouble.
Farmer Fred would be angry at times but Mrs Fred would always stick up for her little friend so Nigel leads a charmed life on the far
Big John
Big John was the oldest and by far the biggest tractor on the Farm. He wasn’t new when Farmer Fred Bought him but John had been sleeping in the back of a barn for a long time before Fred had seen him and asked if he was for sale?
The big blue tractor with four enormous wheels had listened to the conversation about him and liked Farmer Fred straight away. John was desperately hoping to be bought and go back to work.
He was built to pull and really wanted to spend his days working in the fields rather than lazing in a barn. Big John was a gentle giant, strong, loyal and reliable.
Farmer Fred
Farmer Fred has been on the farm since he was born. His family have been in farming for generations and all he wanted to do from a very young age was carry on farming.
Although now being middle aged Fred is still young at heart and is always coming up with wild and whacky plans to develop new machines, improve the farm and generally have a good time. He loves to play games on Mrs Fred but doesn’t very often win. Fred has seen so many changes in the farming scene, he can remember his father using horses and the first tractors coming on to the farm when he was very young
Farmer Fred has two sons who are away at school and only come home during the school holidays. They both haven’t yet decided on what they would like to do in the future but Fred is hopeful that one day either one or both will continue on the farm.
